For the life of me, I cannot decide whether there should be aliens or fantasy creatures in my story.
I feel like I'm writing two separate plot lines with the same characters.
Have you ever done that?
Written the same characters into different stories, like fanfic for your own imagination?

I'm thinking fantasy creatures.
Aliens can have their own story. Eventually.

I've been trying to write a novel forever, so I know exactly how you feel with the whole inner debate about what to put in your storyline. I ended up choosing fantasy creatures, because I feel like if I keep coming back to thinking I need them, then they have a reason to be there.
